2013 Ford Escape: Be a Head Turner on the Road

2If you never thought that a compact SUV could never get so good when it comes to looks; well, you have to think again. The new 2013 Ford Escape is definitely redefining class and styling with its appearance in the market this year. Yes, it is the same Ford Escape that we have seen a couple of years ago but this one is definitely more beautiful and could boast of both superior fuel economy ratings and tech features. It has a great selling price but could get costly if you will go for the luxury packages and the optional features offered by your dealer. It is a fun to drive car according to most of those who have already test driven it. You will get that European driving feel with this car. It is responsive and is fully supported by a top rated suspension system.

Under the hood, we have 3 options. The 2013 Ford Escape is one of those few subcompact SUVs that would have the capacity to give buyers this much option in terms of engines. We can choose between the 1.6, 2.0, and the 2.5 Liter engines. While the cheaper 1.6 engine might be adequate for us, many buyers are recommending the 2.0 liter version. It gives out 240 HP which is more than enough for your trip to the office or the supermarket.

Inside the new 2013 Ford Escape, you will be amazed at how modern everything has been made. Tech features make you feel as if you are in a luxury car that is above this class.  Standard tech features include a superb audio speaker system, steering wheel with audio and cruise control buttons, A/C, the MyKey system, and electronic safety features.

It is available for $23,295 in the market but if you will go for the added luxury features, this could go up to $37,000 easily. The luxury package would give you features such as automated parallel parking, navigation system, SYNC with MyFord Touch, and a power lift gate that opens when you wave your foot below the rear part of the car. Get this car and you will definitely be a head turner on the road!

Ready for Another Top-Performance Run with the 2013 Ford Escape

18After a good year in 2012, the2013 Ford Escape returns and is ready for another competition with other companies for best compact SUV. The 2013 Ford Escape retains most of the qualities that made it a hit. The exterior is very stylish and elegant, yet possesses enough robustness and durability for an SUV. Changes were made to allow more cargo space; it is now at 34.3 ft3 expandable up to 68.1 ft3 by folding down the rear seats. The 2013 Ford Escape seats up to five passengers, to which there is more than enough room. Standard interior features include air-conditioning, power windows, cloth upholstery, cruise control, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, steering wheel mounted audio controls, a 6-speaker audio system w/ CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and USB connectivity.

On higher trims, you can add features like leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, Sync with voice recognition and smartphone integration, a 4” information display, RCA jacks and SD card slot.

The powertrain of the 2013 Ford Escape comes in three variations. The base 2.5L engine generates 168hp, 167 lbs. of torque, at a fuel rating of 22 mpg city/31 mpg highway. The next is a turbocharged 1.6L engine that generates 178hp, 184 lbs. of torque, at a fuel rating of 23 mpg city/33 mpg highway. The third, the turbocharged 2.0L, generates 240hp and 270 lbs. of torque at a fuel rating of 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway.

The 2013 Ford Escape accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 8 seconds or less. Tests show the Escape handles pretty well, even on steep highway climbs. Notable is the fact that despite the fuel efficiency, power output is pretty good.

The 2013 Ford Escape is priced from at a base $22,600, to the top trim with all the features at $31,600. One comment with the Escape is its somewhat confusing electronics on the dashboard. Otherwise, the 2013 Ford Escape is a pretty solid choice for a compact SUV.

2013 Ford Escape Hybrid: Replaced and Upgraded

24If many are expecting for a2013 Escape Hybrid to appear in the market this year, it will not going to happen. Because Ford already stopped developing this model, rather, they are presenting a new one as a replacement. This new model is likely similar with their forthcoming C-Max Hybrid model, only that it is going to be offered as a gas-electric version. The Hybrid replacement will offer three options, a 2.5-liter inline four cylinder that can generate 168 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque, an Ecoboost 1.6-liter four cylinder engine that can produce 173 horsepower and 174 pound-feet torque and a 2.0-liter Ecoboost on 237 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque.

All engines have only six-speed automatic transmission offered. In addition, the new Ford Escape Hybrid replacement is believed that it can tow a load of up to 3,500 pounds.

For the other features, the new Ford Escape will have the latest SYNC technology together with the MyFord infotainment system. This model has also an active park assist and a Blind Spot Information System. Inside, it will now have a more roomy cargo space.

The move of Ford to revamp and completely replace their Escape Hybrid might be, at some point, will become a regrettable decision since the outgoing model is one of the most popular Escape option for many customers.

However, Ford insisted that the move to replace the Hybrid is a way to give customers with an EV choice over their range as they believed that most customers now are now thinking fuel economy beyond all others. But, with the mentioned attributes of this “new” 2013 Ford Escape Hybrid, it’s not just a fuel efficient car anymore but a new technology.

Experience Road Freedom with the 2013 Ford Escape

32For a lot of people, driving out into the open road, gliding through the dusty paths of the open deserts or climbing up the precarious edges of mountain trails are their methods of escape from the pressures of everyday life, and such an escape requires extremely reliable vehicles. There are certainly a lot of models to choose from out there, so that in itself is not a problem. However, if you really want the best for the best, then you are going to have to find something like the 2013 Ford Escape. Since unwinding means going on adventure trips for certain people, a vehicle that can handle the task from looks to performance is needed and the Escape has it all. Simply seeing the exterior design of this awesome SUV will inspire confidence even in the most timid of souls to try and conquer the highest mountains. The flowing and smart design also fits the everyday adventures that keeps people within the vicinity of the city, so just take your pick.

If the exterior of the Escape is going to have any lasting effect at all, the interior must follow up with its own brand of brilliance and it does. Simply the act of sitting inside the Escape with its suitably calming ambiance will temper passion with discretion. The comfortable seating covers, spacious interior room and awesome music system does not harm the overall results either.

Despite the fact that the Escape can provide plenty of power and speed if you need it, it is actually quite friendly to the environment. Nasty emission is in very low levels and fuel consumption is very efficient.
