Available in Los Angeles at Sunrise Ford of Fontana

There is no denying the 2014 Ford Super Duty pickup is a vehicle to marvel. Wouldn’t it be nice to harness all that power and put it to good use, for a specific purpose or task? Ford allows you to do so, with its special work truck, the 2014 Ford ChassisCab. In essence, the 2014 Ford ChassisCab is a 2014 Super Duty without the cargo bed. Imagine that mean-looking and menacing pickup stripped down and at your disposal. Put in a cargo rear end and you have a super strong cargo truck capable of carrying heavy loads such as construction materials, farm products and live animals for the countryside. Customize the rear end and you can turn the ChassisCab into special purpose vehicles like a big tow truck, a medium sized dump truck, maybe even a fire engine.

The powertrain choices of the Super Duty are what the 2014 Ford ChassisCab uses. The base engine is a 6.2L V-8 with an output of 385 horsepower and 405 lbs. of torque. The second and bigger powertrain is the 6.7L turbo diesel V-8 with an output of 400 horsepower and 800 lbs. of torque. At its maximum capacity, the 2014 ChassisCab can carry up to 4,240 pounds and tow up to 16,800 pounds.

The 2014 Ford ChassisCab has the same interior features with the Super Duty. Go basic with plain air-conditioning, vinyl upholstery, and a 2-speaker radio. Go for higher-end models and you get power locks/windows, power mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control. It can also have electronic features like a navigation system, a 4.2” trip computer, an 8” touchscreen with MyFord Touch, and an 8-speaker audio system with satellite radio.

Another great thing with the 2014 Ford ChassisCab is the presence of customizable upfitter switches on the dashboard. Use them for whatever operations you have; a tilting cargo end or a power lifting door are just some of the possibilities.
