One solid contender in the subcompact car segment is the 2014 Ford Fiesta, a compelling choice with stylish Euro-style looks, remarkable fuel efficiency with a solid fun-to-drive chassis tuning. The Ford Fiesta is made affordable in three trim levels: S/SE/Titanium and comes in a 5-door hatchback and a 4-door sedan. New for the line is the high-performance ST model powered by a 1.6-liter/197-horsepower Turbocharged EcoBoost powertrain. Also new for 2014 is the optional 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine with EcoBoost which is known for its outstanding fuel efficiency.

On the highway, test drivers said that the 2014 Ford Fiesta is fun to drive because of the controlled, spirited and comfortable ride it provides. Available in a 5-door/hatchback and 4-door/sedan models, the Ford Fiesta is functional and is featured with a strong character. The base Fiesta is power-engineered by a 120-horsepower/1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 112 pound-feet torque.

The next powertrain is the 1.6-liter/197-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that is capable of making 202 pound-feet of torque. Test drivers who are impressed by the acceleration of this engine are also amazed by the EPA fuel economy it acquired at 26/35 mpg city/highway. Also presented is the 123-horsepower/1.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that provides 125 pound-feet torque. This engine gains an EPA estimate of 32 mpg city and 45 mpg highway.

Like other Ford models, the 2014 Ford Fiesta is loaded with standard features like tilt/telescoping steering wheel, seven airbags, electronic-stability control, knee airbag, 4-speaker audio system, air conditioning system, AM/FM radio and an auxiliary input. Optional features include voice-controlled phone navigation with SYNC, satellite radio, trip computer and cruise controls.
