The 1.6 turbocharged engine gains an EPA rate of 23/33 mpg city/highway, while the 2.0-liter linked to a front-wheel drive has 22/33 mpg city/highway.
The Ford Escape with the S trim comes with MyKey parental controls, 17-inch wheels, integrated blind spot mirror, cruise control, air-conditioning, Bluetooth and iPOd/USB ports. Optional features for the S trim include roof rails, rear parking sensors and remote start function.
For safety, the Ford Escape has been installed with standard airbags, knee airbag, traction control, antilock disc-brakes, stability control, emergency brake assist, ventilated disc brakes and child safety locks.
