2013 Ford Escape Hybrid: An Inland Empire Smart Choice

43If many are expecting for a2013 Escape Hybrid to appear in the market this year, it will not going to happen. Because Ford already stopped developing this model, rather, they are presenting a new one as a replacement. This new model is likely similar with their forthcoming C-Max Hybrid model, only that it is going to be offered as a gas-electric version. The Hybrid replacement will offer three options, a 2.5-liter inline four cylinder that can generate 168 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque, an Ecoboost 1.6-liter four cylinder engine that can produce 173 horsepower and 174 pound-feet torque and a 2.0-liter Ecoboost on 237 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque.

All engines have only six-speed automatic transmission offered. In addition, the new Ford Escape Hybrid replacement is believed that it can tow a load of up to 3,500 pounds.

For the other features, the new Ford Escape will have the latest SYNC technology together with the MyFord infotainment system. This model has also an active park assist and a Blind Spot Information System. Inside, it will now have a more roomy cargo space.

The move of Ford to revamp and completely replace their Escape Hybrid might be, at some point, will become a regrettable decision since the outgoing model is one of the most popular Escape option for many customers.

However, Ford insisted that the move to replace the Hybrid is a way to give customers with an EV choice over their range as they believed that most customers now are now thinking fuel economy beyond all others. But, with the mentioned attributes of this “new” 2013 Ford Escape Hybrid, it’s not just a fuel efficient car anymore but a new technology.
